This summer Wave Academy is hosting a Virtual Summer Workshop Series of online classes on topics ranging from achieving inner calm and trust to how to meditate yourself into a state replicating our profound aquatic therapy.
Starting Tues. June 30th our classes will be hosted by a variety of Wave Academy's esteemed partners; from our multi-talented pool of aquatic practitioners, to experts in the medical and healthcare industries, as well as partners from like-minded holistic health and wellness organizations.
Wave Academy's Virtual Summer Workshop Series will host two webinar's weekly - one focused on holistic health and wellness, and the next focused on the traditional approach to mental health.
The webinar's will be 1-hour long and hosted at various times of the day in order to allow for attendees different opportunities to join us.
Two ticket prices will be offered - a free offering and a maximum of $20 with proceeds going to support our therapeutic program for veterans suffering for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Attendees may choose the fee level that is right for them:

Resilience through Self-Regulation with Sharon Plaché
Activate your inner harmony with techniques with an intentional heart-centered focus. This workshop will allow you to tap into understanding how your heart is a key to your brain's ability to regulate emotions.
Bring your curiosity and a pen and paper to take notes.
Sharon Plaché has a private practice offering a myriad healing modalities including Therapeutic Bodywork, HearthMath®, MER® Mental Emotional Release, ThetaHealing®, Innerwise and Hypnosis. She is also an NLP Instructor, practitioner and mentor.
Awareness through Movement with Cheryl Zolla
Awareness Through Movement includes gentle sequences making movement enjoyable and simple without “efforting!” Begin this awareness journey to address behavioral patterns and movement restrictions unique to each and everyone of us. Enjoy new possibilities of functioning. You are gifted with the ability to change and alter yourself. This mindful awareness brings, “Making the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant.”
You’ll need a mat, folded towels, and a chair.

Set Your Intentions! with Jill Thiry
In this 50 minute guided journaling class, you will come up with a word or phrase that might courageously ignite the remainder of your isolation period or socially distanced space, whatever that might be. This will bring peace, clarity, and focus to your present.
You will answer questions, write words, do some short, guided meditations, and end up with a window and a mirror to your possibilities and a light for each present moment.
Bring three pieces of blank paper and a pen (index card and crayons or colored pencils optional). Be in a quiet, comfortable place with few distractions.
Jill Thiry, MBA, is a Rancho La Puerta guest experience administrator and Club Change™ founder. She spent decades in the high-tech publishing industry prior to and during her initial visits to the Ranch 18 years ago. Now, in her seventh year of teaching at the Ranch, she is leading these classes on Zoom from her home in Imperial Beach, just north of the Tijuana border.
